Shakespeare Unlocked

Special Performance at the Dallas Arboretum
Saturday, March 4th at 11:00 am
Amphitheater Stage
Shakespeare Unlocked features two professional actors performing scenes from some of Shakespeare’s most famous plays including Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth, Richard III, and The Taming of the Shrew in costume. In addition to watching these scenes students learn about Shakespeare’s use of language including Iambic Pentameter, Rhymed Verse, and Prose, as well as how Shakespeare has contributed to our modern English language with the over 1700 words he invented that we still use today. Students will also learn about Shakespeare’s life and times in this 50–55-minute production. This production is incredibly interactive with lots of volunteer opportunities and audience call and response throughout the performance.
