Shakespeare Dallas is seeking a part-time Education Manager!

The Education Manager creates and directs the curriculum of Shakespeare on the Go! (SOTG).

The Education Manager works with the Director of Educational Tours to hire and manage touring company members annually who are the backbone of the teaching artist team. In addition to this core team, the Education Manager engages additional teaching artists throughout the year to assist with Summer Camps, after school classes, workshops, and other programs. The Education Manager is responsible for creating and implementing all marketing and booking elements for SOTG programs. Develop education curriculum to support SOTG programs.  Develop and maintain strategies for teacher engagement. Build strong relationships with local teachers, administrators, home school associations, and parents. Design curriculum for summer camps and staff teaching artists for these camps. Produce all school tours. Sets goals for all programming related to educational programming. As Shakespeare Dallas rebuilds following pandemic-mandated closure, successful candidates will have a “roll up their sleeves” mentally to execute programming directly.

SOTG delivers programming that is connected to Shakespeare Dallas’ contributed and earned revenues. As a result, the Education Manager is responsible for collaborating with the Executive & Artistic Director and Associate Artistic Director to ensure that curriculum and programming executed within their department delivers against engagement, mission, and financial goals. The Education Manager monitors the success of their programming regularly through engagement and audience development targets as well as through sales and expense tracking.

Additionally, the Education Manager serves as the staff liaison to the Board of Director’s Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity committee.

As this position requires working with minors, candidates will be required to complete a criminal background check.
