In this 50 minute production students explore how Shakespeare contributed to the origins of the English language and how his works continue to impact the world we live in today. Lessons will be exemplified through a live performance of scenes from Romeo and Juliet, Two Gentlemen of Verona, and The Taming of the Shrew. With plenty of volunteer opportunities and audience participation, a fun mobile set, and colorful costumes, this touring production is sure to keep students engaged throughout the performance! This is an excellent opportunity to give young students their first introduction to the wonderful works of William Shakespeare. This production meets several English/Language Arts and Theatre TEKS and is a Learning Partners and TCA Touring Roster Approved program.
