Can I buy tickets online?
Yes! Click here to buy your tickets online. Purchasing an advanced ticket online gives you the added advantage of entering the park at 7:00pm. General admission tickets are available for purchase at the gate before the show. The entrance time for general admission ticket holders is 7:30pm. Please note that senior and student discounted tickets are only available through general admission.

How do I buy student/senior tickets online?

How do I reserve seats?
Unless there is a group reservation, seating is on a first come, first served basis. If you are a member, you do not need to make reservations: there is a section reserved for members only!

What does “donation only” mean? How do I get tickets on these nights?
Shakespeare Dallas strives to make theater accessible to everyone in the North Texas community, which is why Tuesdays and Wednesdays during the summer season (and Wednesday nights during the Fall) are “pay what you can” nights, with a suggested donation of $10. General admission tickets are available for as little or as much as you’d like to pay! On donation nights, advanced tickets are available online for $10 and you can enter the park at 7:00pm instead of 7:30pm. Purchasing an advanced ticket on a donation-only night gets you a better view!

I want to buy my ticket at the gate. How will I know if the performance will sell out?
We have a large outdoor venue with lawn seating, so our performances do not sell out. Visibility can become very limited when shows reach a certain capacity, usually on a Friday or Saturday night for a very popular show. We recommend buying an advanced ticket online and arriving early on these nights. Members enter at 6:45pm and get first choice of seating!

Can I bring food? Will food be available for purchase?
At Samuel Grand, patrons are more than welcome to bring outside food. At Cypress Waters, no outside food or drink are permitted but you are encouraged to visit the nearby restaurants before the show and bring carry-out onto the lawn.

Do you allow any alcohol on-site?
At Samuel Grand, adults 21 and over are welcome to bring beer and wine to the park, however we do not permit the consumption of hard liquor on our property. At Cypress Waters, no outside food or drink are permitted but you are encouraged to visit the nearby restaurants before the show and bring carry-out (including wine and beer!) onto the lawn.

Can I bring my own chairs?
Yes, but certain chairs are only allowed in certain sections of the seating area. If you bring a full sized lawn chair we ask that you sit at least half-way back from the stage. We also offer low-back sand chairs for rent that are $5 each or 2 for $8.

Can I bring my pet?
For the safety and comfort of all visitors, pets are not allowed in the park. Only service animals assisting visually impaired or disabled guests will be admitted. If you have a well-behaved dog who loves Shakespeare, be on the look out for our annual Bark-at-the-Park event, where we allow canine patrons for one night only!

Is the park wheelchair accessible?
Yes! Please see a staff member or volunteer if you need help determining the best route for a wheelchair.

Do I have to print my ticket or can I show an email?
You may choose to print your ticket it or show proof of purchase on your smart phone or tablet at the gate.

Where do I park? How much does it cost?
Attended parking lots near the Samuell-Grand Amphitheatre are $5 per car (cash only). There is no charge for street parking or in unattended lots. Annual parking passes are available to purchase for $15. (Parking passes are included in the cost of an annual membership!)

What is your refund policy?
Shakespeare Dallas has a strict no refund policy, except for the over-charging of goods and services (for example, purchasing 2 tickets and being charged for 4). In the event of a weather-related cancellation of a show, rain checks are issued so that our patrons may have every opportunity to see another performance. Refunds may only be issued for show cancellations during the last weekend of performances.

I accidentally purchased my ticket for the wrong night! Can I change the date?
A ticket purchased online is good for any performance!

How do I know which location the performance will occur?
All Summer seasons shows that occur in June or July will take place at the Samuell-Grand Amphitheatre. For the Fall season, we perform for 2 weeks at Samuell-Grand Amphitheatre and 2 weeks at The Sound at Cypress Waters. Check our Shakespeare in the Park page for specific dates and locations.

Does membership include parking?
Yes! All annual members receive one parking pass that is valid at both park venues.

How do I reserve seats with a membership?
The center section is always reserved for members and season pass holders. If you would like to reserve pavilion seats, call the office the day before you’d like to attend. Our phone number is 214-559-2778.

Are there any benefits to membership outside of Shakespeare in the Park?
Absolutely! Shakespeare Unplugged encompasses several outreach and educational efforts including StageNotes, and various actor and community workshops, lectures, and discussions. See our Shakespeare Unplugged page for more information.
Members also receive membership in the Poet’s Society. This exclusive group was created to give members a chance to network and attend special events with people that have a shared interest in Shakespeare and the arts in Dallas. Previous events have included designer previews, exclusive lectures and presentations, and invitations to preview a dress rehearsal before our shows open to the public. Purchase or renew your membership to receive invitations to these events!

Can I take pictures of the stage/actors/performance?
Please feel free to take photos or short videos to document your enjoyable experience with Shakespeare Dallas prior to performance time. Once the performance has begun, please discontinue the use of any recording devices. Taking photographs poses a risk for the actors on stage, and using digital cameras or video recorders violates union rules for the reproduction of a performance.

What if it rains?
While it is usually sunny and breezy at the park, weather conditions in North Texas can change rapidly. No performance will be cancelled due to weather prior to show time. The decision to delay or cancel a performance is made at curtain/start time nightly, 8:15pm for summer performances, 8pm for fall performances. Our Facebook page will be updated with the most recent information available on cancellations.
