Come join the Shakespeare Dallas staff and company at East Dallas’ new Hillside Tavern as we raise a glass to the bard! Hillside Tavern will feature a special Bard’s Brew and Shakespeare Dallas will provide a birthday cake in celebration of our favorite William Shakespeare.

This is an informal, come-and-go as you please evening, but if you plan on attending, please RSVP below.

Join us for an evening of conversation, wine, and a special sneak peek of our exciting new production: As You Like It! Director Elizabeth Kirkland and Shakespeare Dallas’ Executive & Artistic Director Raphael Parry will discuss the creative process followed by a Q&A before presenting the first act of As You Like It in front of an audience for the first time!

7:00pm – Mix and mingle over drinks and light bites
7:30pm – Discussion with Director Elizabeth Kirkland and Shakespeare Dallas Executive & Artistic Director Raphael Parry
8:15pm – First act of As You Like It

Shakespeare Dallas will provide hor d’oeuvres, wine, and beer, but you are welcome to bring your own picnic if you’d like. The event will take place under the Sherry W. Shannon VIP Pavilion. We have room for 50 people at this event which will be reserved on a first come, first served basis. As You Like It Members’ Opening Night Reception

Members and Benefactors are invited to celebrate the opening of As You Like It, the second show of our 48th season! Shakespeare Dallas will provide hor d’oeuvres, wine, and beer, but you are welcome to bring your own picnic for the length of the production. The reception will take place under the Sherry W. Shannon VIP Pavilion. We have room for 75 people at this event which will be reserved on a first come, first served basis.

Join Shakespearean Scholar Connie Tate, Shakespeare Dallas’ Executive and Artistic Director Raphael Parry, and lead actor of Shakespeare in Love Montgomery Sutton for a talk on the identity of William Shakespeare and the question of authorship within the context of our production of Shakespeare in Love. 

 

We have room for 30 people at private reception which will be reserved on a first come, first serve basis. Benefactors follow the link below to RSVP for our private reception before the event.

We’ll enjoy some refreshments and wine before a brief presentation by several of our designers for the new Shakespeare in the Park Fall production of Macbeth, directed by Trampas Thompson.
