Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts

Our mission is to inspire in artistically talented students a lifelong passion for learning, empowering them to achieve academic and artistic excellence.

Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra

Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra’s mission is to provide music education and performance opportunities for youth with demonstrated musical ability.

Class Act Tap Company

The Class Act Tap Company was founded in 1986 and is a service organization of 40 women who serve North Texas as volunteers by giving tap dancing shows free-of-charge, totaling more than 2,900 shows in the past 32 years. The age range of the members is 55 to 85 with an average age of 70.  Class Act performs in the Spectacular Senior Follies every year and performed again this year in the 10th Anniversary show at the Eisemann Theater in Richardson.  With a wide repertoire of “glitzy” costumes and “pizzazzy” dance routines, they customize their shows for the Christmas season!  Visit their web site at classacttap.com or call 214.528.9255 for more information.

Scottsound’s Banjo Jam

ScottSound Music’s student group, Banjo Jam, is a six-piece student group comprised of guitars, tenor, plectrum and five-string banjos. The performing ensemble is designed to combine the sounds and styles of four- and five-string banjos along with guitars. Banjo Jam utilizes this instrument combination in jazz, bluegrass, folk, classical, blues and rock music.

Choreo Records Tap

In 1958, Choreo Records was a local vinyl record company owned by dance legend, Buster Cooper. Choreo recorded original compositions featuring local jazz artists of the time and distributed them to dance studios and performance companies nationwide. Buster’s granddaughter Keira Anne Leverton has reestablished the company with a youth ensemble whose mission is to preserve Choreo’s original music and Buster’s historic choreography. The youth tap ensemble is comprised of members aged 8-18, and though they spend most of their time in the language of tap dance, they are also taught acting and music.

Happy Hour Ukulele Ensemble

Though principally a ukulele band, Happy Hour Ensemble also includes drums, bass, and clarinet at most of their performances. They play a variety of music, including toe tapping tunes from the Roaring 20’s, Blues, & Ragtime.

Dallas Symphony Orchestra

The Dallas Symphony Orchestra is the largest performing arts organization in the Southwest United States and committed to inspiring the broadest possible audience with distinctive classical programs, inventive pops concerts and innovative multi-media presentations.

Opera On Tap

Opera on Tap is the largest network of operatic performing artists in the country. The North Texas chapter takes a local, grassroots and VERY fun approach to community outreach in the name of our art form.
