Junior Players

Junior Players, a non-profit children’s theater organization, provides free arts education programs in local recreation and cultural centers, housing projects, and elementary and middle schools. Through their summer camps and after school programs, they reach out to underserved and at-risk youth in the North Texas region.

Junior Players and Shakespeare Dallas continue their 20-year partnership through the Discover Shakespeare program that culminates with a version of As You Like It July 28– August 2 at the Samuell-Grand Amphitheatre. For more information, call 214.526.4076 or visit www.juniorplayers.org

Annette Strauss Artist Square

Named in honor of the passionate arts supporter former Mayor Annette Strauss, The Annette Strauss Artist Square is an open-air venue for festivals, concerts and theatrical productions.

In May 2006, the square was temporarily relocated to the Samuell-Grand Amphitheater, during the construction phase of the Dallas Center for the Performing Arts. In October 2009, Annette Strauss Artist Square will have a permanent home at the Dallas Center for Performing Arts in the Dallas Arts District.

Sherry W. Shannon VIP Pavilion

Samuell-Grand Park is home to the Sherry W. Shannon VIP Pavilion, which was completed in June 2001. The pavilion offers Shakespeare Dallas’ patrons covered seating for prime viewing of the Shakespeare in the Park performances. The pavilion also offers lawn chairs, easy access to concessions, and space for catering. The Sherry W. Shannon VIP Pavilion can be reserved for individual seats or for groups up to forty.

Shakespeare Dallas has teamed up with Tom Thumb to offer customers a way to direct donations to Shakespeare Dallas. Through their Good Neighbor Program, we have signed up to have an exclusive account where supporters of Shakespeare Dallas can link their Reward card to our account.

The next time you're at Tom Thumb, remember to link your Reward card to our number -1271 - and your purchases will be linked to our account. Tom Thumb will pay us a percentage of our account total, so be sure to use your card every time you shop. By using your card, you will also be eligible for exclusive discounts, giveaways, enter-to-wins and direct mail rewards.

Kroger Neighbor to Neighbor Program

Help Shakespeare Dallas raise funds by linking your Kroger Plus card to our unique barcode. The Kroger Neighbor to Neighbor Program will donate a portion of $1 million to Shakespeare Dallas based on the number of points collected from July 1, 2009 to April 30, 2010.
