Please take a moment to review our Movies in the Park policies prior to your movie.
Shakespeare Dallas prioritizes the health and safety of all our audiences and team members. We have adopted these safety protocols to make every effort to minimize exposure to the COVID-19 virus. All persons attending any Shakespeare Dallas performance are requested to follow these protocols for the safety of all involved.
Shakespeare Dallas will make decisions on an ongoing basis based on county and state guidelines related to COVID-19. These decisions may include delaying or cancelling the public performances and other measures to protect all involved.
Please refrain from attending a screening if you are experiencing a fever, cough, shortness of breath, or any other symptoms associated with COVID-19, or if you have been diagnosed with COVID-19 or exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19.
All patrons will be required to wear face masks covering both mouth and nose when entering, moving around inside the Amphitheater and exiting. Patrons may remove their masks only when seated in their assigned area. Patrons must bring their own masks.
Patrons must watch the movie only from within their socially-distanced seating pod.
Patrons must practice social distancing at all times when in the proximity of people outside their party.
Shakespeare Dallas has established total capacity limits in audience seating areas using clearly defined areas which restrict groups to no more than 4 for each seating area. Pods will be marked on the lawn with seating for groups of 2 or 4.
There will be a maximum capacity of 250 patrons seated for each Movie in the Park night. Each patron seating area will be separated by 6 feet.
When entering the park, please follow the guidance of staff at all times.
If patrons do not follow the above rules, they will be asked to leave without refund. We must enforce these rules to keep our community safe. Thank you for helping us in our efforts!
Entering and Moving Within the Amphitheater
We will establish 6-foot spacing for patrons outside the gates waiting to enter.
We will have clear shields in place at all patron contact areas including but not limited to the front gate, shoppe and other contact areas.
All team members in patron contact areas will wear masks.
Public restrooms will have 6-foot spacing for patrons outside public restrooms. Patrons will enter and exit through separate doors.
All trash receptacles will be spaced out so patrons may practice social distancing. Trash will be removed daily and sanitized.
All public areas with high contact surfaces will be sanitized daily with appropriate solutions.
Hand sanitizer stations will be placed at the entry gate, outside public restrooms and the pavilion.
All tickets must be purchased in advance. All patrons will be required to reserve tickets online before entering Samuell-Grand Amphitheater.
All complimentary tickets, Park and Recreation tickets and Shakespeare Dallas Members will reserve tickets online prior to arrival at the Amphitheater.
By purchasing tickets, paid or otherwise, you are agreeing to the terms of all policies, including our Safety Policy.
Opening and Screening Time
Gates will open at 7pm and movies start promptly at 8pm.
Seating pods will be assigned on a first come, first served basis. Upon arrival, patrons will select their seating pod from a map of available seating appropriate for their party size. Staff will provide patrons with a number for their pod and guide patrons to their assigned area as needed.
Within your assigned pod, patrons are expected to honor the following arrangement: blankets closest to the front, sand chairs in the middle, high back chairs in the back. (A sand chair is a short lawn chair with a back that is 16 inches or less. A high back chair is a chair with a back that is 16 inches or higher.)
Food and Drink
Patrons may bring their own food and beverages into the Amphitheater. Adults 21 and over can bring and consume beer and wine inside Samuell-Grand Amphitheater. No hard liquor, please.
Food trucks will also be available on site unless otherwise noted.
For each screening, we have a limited amount of reserved seating in the Sherry W. Shannon Pavilion available for groups of 10 or more. Please contact email@example.com for more information and to make a reservation.
All patrons are encouraged strongly to be considerate of those around them by looking to make sure a fellow patron’s view is not blocked by a high-back chair.
Parking for Movies in the Park screenings is free of charge. Samuell-Grand features several parking areas near and around the Amphitheater.
The decision to cancel a screening will be made on the day of the performance.
In the event that we need to cancel a screening for weather or another reason, patrons can use tickets for any future film. Tickets are transferable up until the end of the 2020 Movies in the Park season.
In the event of a cancellation, ticket holders will be notified via email with information on how to transfer tickets to an alternative evening.
Make sure to fill in your phone number in your account details to receive notifications concerning event cancellations due to weather or unforeseen issues. This information will also be posted on Facebook.
Shakespeare Dallas generally does not issue refunds. In the event of a weather-related cancellation of a screening, rain checks are issued so that our patrons may have every opportunity to see another performance. Refunds may only be issued for show cancellations during the last weekend of performances.
Unable to Attend
Tickets are non-refundable. If patrons cannot attend their ticketed event or any other, and wish to give tickets away to another person instead of losing the purchase, they can give them to friends, family, or otherwise simply by emailing the ticket to the person. Patrons do not need to change the name featured on the ticket for that person to attend the event.
Samuell-Grand Amphitheater is wheelchair-accessible. In addition, the Amphitheater houses a special section of permanent seats to accommodate visitors who may have difficulty with lawn seating. Additionally, patrons may request covered pavilion seating at no additional cost to accommodate their needs.
For the safety and comfort of all patrons, only service animals assisting visually impaired or disabled patrons will be admitted. The only exception to this policy is a dedicated “Bark at the Park” night that will allow dogs to attend with their owners.
Recording Devices and Cell Phones
Please feel free to bring recording devices to the Samuell-Grand Amphitheater to document your enjoyable experience with Shakespeare Dallas. Once the movie has begun, please discontinue the use of any recording devices.
Please turn off cell phones during the performance to prevent interruptions.
