Shakespeare Unlocked: Shakespeare and the Invented Word Performance Workshop

Created and directed by Shakespeare Dallas’ Director of Educational Tours Marco E. Salinas, Shakespeare Unlocked is a crash course of Shakespeare’s plays and sonnets. Students will experience an overview on Shakespeare’s use of language including rhymed verse, blank verse, prose, and iambic pentameter. Lessons are exemplified through live performance of scenes Romeo and Juliet and The Taming of the Shrew. This program also includes a hands-on training session to help decode Shakespeare’s language.

At 55 minutes long, this production is just the right amount of time for one class period.
